October 31st, 2008

Curtains, portieres and curtains have for a long time turned from especially functional interior details into the very effective subject of dressing of a premise. Salons and shops offer a wide choice of production for all tastes and style: from classical to avant-guard.
The velvet, silk, velour, tulle, sateen, chintz, clap, flax, serge, tweed, taffeta - all these materials do not get out of fashion. The present fashion is distinguished by the big eclecticism and democracy, wide spectrum of styles, coloring and fabrics. Today the synthetic and “ecological” fabrics added to them. The tendency on changing natural fabrics into synthetic on the basis of polystyrene and acryl is still available. These materials have high consumer properties: the raised opacity, wear resistance etc. They do not loosen their color and are easily washed and do not need careful ironing.
There are also, curtains covered with special structure against burning out, they need dry-cleaning. The other novelties of modern textiles are represented with the compressed tulle, fabrics with the drawing etched by acid, interior fabrics from the metalized thread, modern fabrics with furnish by rubber, straw, a woolen thread, a cord, the gold thread, so-called cellophane with printing drawing, a taffeta - “chameleon”.
Choosing this or those fabrics, take into consideration the sizes of a room, its proportion and the form of window apertures. It is very important, as a choice of color, invoices, drawing and a fabric structure form your interior.
